There aren’t many werewolf-friendly movies for families even though body changes are common in family films. They’re about transformation and regret. Family Pack is based on the tabletop game Werewolves of Millers Hollow.
A family finds a medieval version of the game and are transported back in time to a medieval village plagued with werewolves. The family transforms into an ideal unit by working together to survive and get home.
There are the usual fish-out-of-water moments, peppered with clever dialogue and humor. Some moments lean mature but don’t cross the line. The werewolves provide a few jump scares. Kids 7+ are fine — with one caveat: it’s in French (subtitles or English dub).
It’s charming and well-made. Pour a cognac and enjoy a movie with the energy of a ’90s kids action flick and themes that still land.
